In January, the locals from Salobreña celebrate the Three Kings Festival. This is the favorite festival of this town. There are many street parades held with the three kings on moving stages giving sweets and candies to the children.
During the month of February there are many nights in Salobreña that are filled with music and dance, carnivals and fiestas. All these activities precede the celebration of the provincial Day of Andalusia, a manifestation that takes place on the 28th of this month in Salobreña. The town is decorated with many green and white flags during this time.
There are also celebrations during Easter time. This tradition is one of the most Christian celebrations all over Spain. An interesting event in Salobreña is the women only procession of the Virgin of Solitude, an even which is held on Good Friday.
On the 3rd of May it is the Day of the Cross. The whole city is decorated and colorful. Sevillana dancing and sweet-smelling carnations provide a real Andalucian environment that beyond doubt attracts locals and tourists.
From the 24th to 29th of June the feast days of Saint John and Saint Peter are being celebrated and enjoyed by the locals and the tourists.
