One building of particular interest, that stands out from the others for its importantce is the convent of Capuchinos, which is believed to be built in the years between 1660 and 1668, by the Duke of Arcos, and whose construction was overseen by one Friar Pedro de Andújar. Much of the interior of the building was destroyed by the French. It was here that notable missionaries and men of the cloth spent their formative years, such as Friar Felix Jose de Ubrique, and the devout Diego Jose of Cadiz.
The Chapel of San Sebastián is also another historical structure, constructed in the 16th century.
