Plaza Vazquez de Molina
This square is almost certainly the most monumental work of art in Úbeda. In fact it is considered by many experts to be one of the best examples of Renaissance urban planning in Spain.
Parador de Úbeda
This 16th century Renaissance palace is located in the most renaissance and colossal square in Úbeda. The palace was originally build in the 16th century but altered in the 17th century. From inside that castle there is a nice panoramic view of the Vazquez de Molina square. Since 1930 it serves as a hotel.
The Hospital de Santiago
This hospital is designed by Andrés de Vandelvira in the late 16th century. Interesting about this building are the square bell towers and the beautiful Renaissance courtyard. Today it is the town’s conference hall.
Palacio de las Cadenas
This building is named after the decorative chains on the building’s façade. Constructed in the 16th century by Andrés de Vandelvira in a very original andalusian renaissance style this former convent is now a town hall.
Santa María church
Another work of Andrés de Vandelvira, this church is a mixture of different styles, from gothic and renaissance to neo gothic and baroque.
