This majestic monument dates back to the 15th century. The Cathedral, which mixes both gothic and renaissance styles, has been placed on the list of UNESCO world heritage sites. Built on the site of the ancient moorish mosque (La Mezquita Mayor de Seville), the cathedral has nine gothic style naves, with a great transept which contains La Capilla Mayor (the large chapel).
It was made for the "Ibero-American Exposition 1929" and is located in the center of "Maria-Luisa-Park". It’s forming a semi-circle around an artificial lake. La Plaza de España is one of the most astonishing examples of modern spanish architecture and it’s one of the most characteristic buildings in town.
This lovely 98 meters structure was originally built as a minaret for a mosque, after the Reconquest it has been converted into a bell tower.You can climb to the top of its tower to get a good view of the city.
