There are many historical monuments in Puerto Serrano that worth a visit. First among these is the Parroquia de Santa Maria Magdalena (“Parish of St. Mary Magdalene”). This church is dedicated to the patron of the town St. Mary Magdalene. The structure is largely in neoclassical style, but also baroque style can be seen in some areas.
Next to the church, an old Carmelite convent called “Molino de Siré” is located. Like the Parish of St. Mary Magdalene, the convent features a curious mix of neoclassical and baroque styles. It got its name from the fact that an old olive oil mill stood on its very site.
