The Plaza de las Monjas in the city centre is a palm-lined square, close to the boardwalk shopping district, along the streets of Concepción to Berdigón.
There are several churches, the oldest one in the city being the Iglesia de San Pedro visitors should also make time to see the Catedral de la Merced, particularly interesting because of its magnificent Baroque façade. You can also visit the Sanctuario de la Cinta, located 3km out of town.
