As a gateway to the Sierra de Grazalema natural park, walking permits can be obtained by travelers who would want a first hand experience of the unspoiled natural beauty from the 53,500 hectares of area that the park holds.

Part of the Pueblos Blancos (White Villages) route, El Bosque is a picturesque village with its narrow winding streets; very cheerful and active with its open spaces of great natural beauty. For this reason, it has become one the best places in Spain to try hang gliding. Very high regard is given to the annual hang gliding championships held here with competitions done on a national level.

Recently, El Bosque was awarded the Provincial Award for Beautification and because of this the town is believed to have a great future when it comes to tourism. There are many facilities in El Bosque that offer accommodations and food at affordable prices. It is easily accessible from its neighboring villages by means of bus, and also offers campsites available just outside the town proper to cater to the thriftiest of travelers.

As for historical points of interests, the most famous churches are: the Ermita del Calvario and the Iglesia Parroquial de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, both built in the 18th century. The mill called Molino del Duque, also constructed in the 18th century, is another site recommended to El Bosque visitors.
