Places of Interest
The main and biggest street in Los Barrios is decorated with flowers that are place on the sides of the street and this creates a very pleasing view. The main roundabout has the famous statue of a bull. Around the town, the other crossroads have also small roundabouts where sculptures and statues are places and each roundabout features one of a different design.
The old part of the town is located on a small hill on the east side. An important square, called the Plaza de la Iglesia is located here and it is where the people gather to sit on the benches and stay in the afternoon shade. The old church, called Iglesia San Isidro Labrador, as well as the town hall, the tower and the casino can be found in a close proximity of the square.
In Los Barrios there is also a round basin with water comming from the Palmones river. Visitors and residents often choose to relax themselves around the basin side and fish for trouts.
In the west, the new part of the town has one of the most modern bull rings in Spain which was opened in 1998. Los Barrios is also home of the Museo de Historia Natural.
