Ayamonte is a attractive town located in the province of Huelva. Due to its proximity to Algarve, it is also a tourist resort of the Costa de la Luz. Since few years, a bridge links the Spanish town of Ayamonte to the Portuguese city of Vila Real de St Antonio. The center of the city is a pedestrian zone and visitors can walk throught the old medieval district and discover historical buildings.
Matalascañas used to be a fishing village, but today it is one of the most popular resorts of the Costa de la Luz. The Matalascañas beach is nearby the Parque Nacional de Donaña an impressive wildlife reserve.
Punta Umbría is a town with a long gorgeous beach, closest to Huelva City. The Paseo de la Ría and Calle Ancha are the liveliest main shopping streets; there is a good choice of bars and restaurants to taste the great local seafood, especially in April during the town's local Festival de la Chirla y la Coquina.
