Córdoba
Córdoba is a province in Andalusia. It is encircled by the provinces of Malaga, Sevilla, Badajos, Ciudad Real, Jaen, and Granada. The city Córdoba was first founded by the Romans and then people of diverse cultures and religions (Jews, Muslims and Christians). They have put numerous contributions to the beauty of this outstanding place. A few number of important philosophers, scientists and artists surfaced from here. The contemporary Córdoba is now a Flamenco and Bullfighting township, and undoubtedly one of the most gorgeous places to visit in Southern Spain.
Aside from the historical sites that Luque offers, this town mainly prides in the many olive plantations that surround it, making it one of the major producers of first rate extra virgin olive oil that we so love in our pasta, pizzas and salads. It is considered as one of the most primeval towns in the whole province of Andalusia.
Montilla is located in the southern part of the Cordoba province and is mostly comprised of enormous grape plantations, alternating with olive agricultural estates. It is no wonder that this place has a wine that is named after it. Montilla, the dry white wine, is made from Pedro Ximenez grapes, and processed using the solera method, just like the procedure used for manufacturing sherry.
